FIRST AID AT WORK (FAW)

(Statutory Certificate)

Training venue:- Clients premises.

Full 4 day course with independant exam.
Pass certificate valid for 3 years

Upon successful completion of the course, the candidate will be able to demonstrate competency in the recognition, safe management and care of those person or persons with whom have taken ill, or have otherwise been involved in some form of accident, where minor injury has been received, or major trauma.
Scene management, assessment of casualties' first aid needs and decision to refer to other medical services i.e. Doctor. Hospital. Ambulance.
Report all incidents and keep clear and up to date records, as well as reporting for/ and restocking first aid supplies.



FIRST AID AT WORK- RE-QUALIFY

Training venue:- Clients premises.

Full 2 day course with independant exam.
Pass certificate valid for 3 years.



HSE first aid certificate holders must complete this course before thier license expires. All certificates must be presented to training officer at the beginning of this course.
Upon successful completion of the course. The candidate will resume thier duties as first aider with clear, and where applicable, revised knowledge in relation to the criteria and principles of first aid.



APPOINTED PERSONS

Duration: 6 hour course (1 day)
Pass on assessment by instructor

TWO DAY PAEDIATRIC EMERGENCY AID FOR CHILDREN AND BABIES

Training venue:- Clients premises.

Duration: 10 hour course (2 day)
Pass on assessment by instructor

Ideal for child minders and creche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone responsible for youth organisations. The aim of this course is to provide these persons with a sound knowledge and understanding of first aid procedures when working with children and babies, along with the ability to recognise and treat many childhood conditions and illnesses.


Course includes:
CPR. Unconscious management. Asphyxia. Childhood conditions.Breath Holding attacks. Croup. Head Injuries. Bones, Joint and Muscle Injuries. Poisons. Bites and Stings. Burns. Bleeding, Dressings and slings.




EMERGENCY AID COURSE

Training venue:- Clients premises.

Duration: 4 hour course
Pass on assessment by instructor

Course includes:
